Rebecca Cuinn lost control of her life once before, and she spent many years learning how to take it back. As Mistress and owner of an exclusive BDSM club, Rebecca now had control by the balls. She wasn’t about to lose it again by falling in love. Unfortunately, her heart wasn’t playing by Rebecca’s rules. She always was a sucker for androgynous, sexy women. But did the one that threatened to make her break all her rules have to be so young?

Cass Giles defied authority. So, when she was dragged to a BDSM sex club for a bachelorette party, she refused to let go of her judgments and have fun. No way she would submit to someone who’s sole purpose was to hurt you. Just wasn’t her scene. That is until that “scene” included the mysterious Mistress. Now Cass was willingly breaking the rules just for a taste of Mistress’s punishment. But it wasn’t just Mistress she wanted. She wanted the woman underneath the mask. And she would do everything she could to prove they were meant to be.

Her breath caught, and her chest tightened when she saw one particular club-goer. This was someone she had never seen before, and part of her wished she had missed seeing the tall woman now. Her body’s response was too intense to be good for her. With a shaking hand, she pressed the intercom button on the wall next to her.
“Yes, Mistress?”
“Bring me the files on the entire Loring party.” At least her voice hadn’t betrayed the chaos she felt inside. Less than a minute later, there was a knock at her door. “Enter.”
“The files, Mistress.”
“Thank you, Carlie.” Once she was alone again, she began sifting through the files. “You shouldn’t be doing this,” she told herself. It didn’t stop her. Nothing stopped her until she came to the one photo she was looking for. A scan of the attached copy of the driver’s license gave her the information she was looking for. “Cassidy Giles. Oh God, she’s only twenty-five!”
Mistress tossed the file aside, determined to forget about the incredibly hot, tall, androgynous woman. She couldn’t care less how the black jeans made that ass look. Or how the crisp, white button-up shirt was unbuttoned dangerously low. And, she certainly wasn’t thinking about fisting her hands in that short, dark hair. Nope.

I’ve been in Houston, Texas, writing novels and designing websites since 2009. Moving here was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made, because I’ve been able to live wonderfully, and write my heart out. I’ve always enjoyed the arts in one form or another. Music sets the mood, reading stimulates my brain, and writing allows me to utilize my imagination in any way I want. I’ve been writing stories since I was a teen, and figured out it was my passion when I finished my first novel, Something About Eve.

I love being captivated by books that lead me into different, exotic places, and through impossible scenarios. I love being able to become someone else for a time. Reading has always inspired me to bring my own characters out to play. My hope is that my writing will inspire others, or at the least, give them a way to escape from everyday life for a little while.

If I’m not writing or reading, I’m training for triathlons. It’s a good way to challenge my body the way I challenge my brain when writing. I’m not the greatest at it, but not only do I do it for the challenge, I do it for charity. It’s a good motivation.

As the net closes in on her, she must decide whose life is more important.

For twenty minutes, Brenda and I could do nothing but stare at one another in horror. Then the commotion stopped, its absence even more terrifying: “Time of death, two twenty-seven.”

Brenda clasped a hand to her mouth and moaned.

I couldn’t speak, couldn’t think. Instead, I pushed myself into the doorway in time to see a nurse reach towards the heart monitor. Renewed sounds of bleeps halted her hand in mid-air. Heads swivelled round. No one moved, as if waiting for the monitor to stop a second time. When it didn’t, pandemonium broke out again.

Twenty minutes later, Dr Harvey stumbled into the hallway, his ashen face covered in a sheen of sweat. “He’s stable again . . . for now.”

#CoverReveal Saving Leah By Misha Elliott

Title: Saving Leah
Author: Misha Elliott
Genre: Contemporary Romance

Release Date: June 5, 2018
Cover Designer: Lori Jackson Design
Hosted by: Buoni Amici Press, LLC.

Sometimes the only thing worse than revealing a painful secret is keeping it from the one who wants to save you. In time fractured bones mend and torn flesh heals. But what about a fractured soul? Years of abuse have left Leah scared and broken, in solitude with the only symbol of the person she used to be-her violin. While in hiding, she never expected to meet the handsome and alluring Asher. Can he save her before all is lost or will her secrets become the death of her? **WARNING** This book contains adult material including violence and sexual content intended for readers over the age of 18.

I carry uneasiness inside; it constantly mocks me, gnawing at me like a beast, desperately clawing to get out. It makes me a hypocrite, too. I blame alcohol and drugs for turning Ian into an abusive monster, but it doesn’t stop me from heading down the same path, trying to calm the beast inside. My nightly ritual of pills and vodka commences as soon as the first drink is poured. The pills help numb the pain; the drink quiets the memories and helps to erase the fear. You’re all I have. Those words of Ian’s haunt me, because he is also all that I have.

I reach for the bottle and tip it over, spilling vodka on the table. Grabbing two towels from the kitchen, I clean up the mess and take the towels to the laundry room, where I’m left in a quandary. I want to put the towels in the empty black basket in front of the washer, but Ian had a thing about wet towels in the laundry. It wasn’t allowed. In an act of defiance, I toss them in the basket and walk away. “You know better, Leah. Are you going to do what I said or do I have to show you again what happens when you disobey?”

It is a test of my will and my mind not to go back and wash them. Ian needs to get out of my brainwashed head NOW! I lean my head back on the couch, waiting for the effects of the vodka and pills to soothe me. This solution isn’t permanent, but it grants me a few hours of rest―if I’m lucky. Ian can no longer abuse me physically, but he’s still in my head.

My mind is a fertile ground for fear. Ian planted seeds and we nurtured them together; Ian with his abuse, me with my unspoken grief. Both fertilized my fear, and before long it spread, taking me over like the kudzu vine in the south, choking out everything else in my life, paralyzing me. I was too scared to do what I needed to save myself from it; it nearly killed me.

Misha Elliott is a nomadic soul, living all over the US with her Scottish husband. During their travels, she fell in love with the written word and put her hands on the keyboard to romanticize her journeys. When not writing you can find her at Scottish Highland games (she’s there for the men in kilts) or at the beach…as long as it’s not hurricane season.
